A Legacy of Excellence Dating Back 1952

Joe’s Garage has been a cornerstone of the Eugene community since 1952 when Joe James first opened the doors with a simple mission: to provide honest, reliable auto repair services to local drivers. Over the decades, that mission has remained unchanged, even as the shop has grown and evolved.

After Joe laid the foundation, his daughter Sherry and her husband Ernie Kirk took over the business, running it with the same dedication and care that made Joe’s Garage a trusted name in Eugene auto repair. For nearly 43 years, Ernie and Sherry were the heart and soul of the shop, known for their integrity, deep knowledge, and commitment to quality service. Their hard work paid off as they built a sterling reputation among Eugene drivers who knew they could always count on Joe’s Garage.

Over 20 years ago, Ernie and Sherry passed the torch to their daughter Lori and her husband Darin, who continues to uphold the family tradition of excellence.

The Next Generation

Today, the next generation is already taking the reins, with their son Spencer serving as the shop’s General Manager. Spencer brings fresh energy and the same unwavering commitment to customer satisfaction that has been the hallmark of Joe’s Garage for over 70 years.
